I have a female betta who has been off for about four to five days now. When I first noticed she has clamped fins and seems to be a bit twitchy, I was dosing with ParaGuard. I did this for about three days and she was eating, but not her usual self. Three days after this I thought I saw a white spot or two and decided she must have ich. I dosed with Cupramine, and the next day she seemed worse but I did read Cupramine can be hard on fish. I waited two days to get the dose of Cupramine up to the .5 therapeutic level, but the day after dosing that she looks like her slime coat is completely coming off!
This brings us to today, I cannot tell if it’s ich, velvet, columnaris or what is going on. I now have her in KanaPlex because it no longer looks like ich at all. But my issue I’m having is if it’s fungus creating the cloudy look on her or the Cupramine did something to her slime coat. I don’t know how to proceed and I feel terrible she’s putting up a fight and I can’t figure out what is going on with her to give her the correct meds...I’ve added photos. Her water has always been heated to at least 80 degrees. Right now she’s in a gallon tank with about three inches of water so she can get to the surface to breathe.
