Black Moor Eyesight

I am wondering if all black moors have bad eyesight? I have owned 2 in my time, and both seem to only be able to find their food if it literally bumps into their nose!Is it a general problem, and how can i help them get their fair share of the grub, before the other fish do? Any thoughts?

Well, I presume you're talking about flakes right ?
If so, it may not be poor eyesight.
The best advice I could give you at this stage would be to try different types of food. My fish get a treat near enough every Saturday. The current favourites are BloodWorms and Tubifex Dried Worms - (looks like a small cube of hair when in water)

Different foods also give the fish a balanced diet and help it to maintain nice colours, slime coats, etc.

Hope that helps.

At first it seemed like the fantails in my aquarium were eating better than the moore, but after a few weeks my black moore seems to be eating fine, even better than a shy comet I have.
