??Black Spots??

I have 5 small round black spots on my Leporinus Fasciatus. Any ideas?? What is the common name of these fish? I'm tired of that long name!!

Heh, the common name is Black-Banded Leporinus..not much help huh..sorry LOL

What do the black spots look like? Where are they located? Can you get a pic?

Chances are they are scabs. These guys get a bit quarrelsome amongst themselves in small schools and with those front teeth can do a little damage.

There is also something called "black spot disease" which is basically black spots caused by a number of different parasites. Some will die off by themselves, others need treatment. I hate to recommend treating until we're sure tho.
