I have a guppy with a fat belly that is unable to swim upright. He's had the fat belly for a few days now-I had wondered about constipation and tried the pea trick which didn't work as he didn't eat it. Then I saw him poop so am guessing constipation is not the culprit. But today the situation has changed as it's not only a swollen belly but major disequilibrium as well. I actually thought he was dead this am because he was kind of sideways in a plant near the bottom, but then started moving and flapping around. He tries to swim but can't stay upright so he thrashes and rolls and then sinks again. It's quite sad.

Anything I can do?

He could have dropsy. I have guppies, but I don't know much about dropsy in particular. Hopefully someone experienced will come along and help, but look into dropsy.
