I have a King Betta and he has hole. :( A few weeks ago I noticed little round white spots on the glass and found out that it was planeria(little white worms). I took everything out of the tank took it outside, bleached, scrubbed, dried it out. I have quite a few plants as well and I went through them looking for the hard little sacs they're in and removed what I found. I put all fresh water in, added the required bacteria and water conditioner. Then put the plants back in and then put just the fish back in. None of the old water to be on the safe side. But now Bruce has the hole and swelling on that side of his head only. He is now in quarantine to be on the safe side. Any ideas on what could have caused this? I'll be getting the wormer this weekend to treat the tank.

Unfortunately it looks like the hole is getting a little bigger. He is still eating his small pellets. So I guess that's a good sign.

There's nothing there other than his tissue. But this morning he was spitting out this stringy cloudy stuff. It kind of reminds me of cotton candy when it's first being made. But he's still eating 6-8 pellets every morning and a couple at night. I'm baffled to what is going on.

Do you think that Pimafix and Melafix will help?

your going to need antibiotics in order to treat this.
