Can someone help me with my Catfish?

I was about to do a monthly water change before noticing my catfish with these weird white spots. He never had them before and I am really new to caring for fish and is very worry that it’s ick or a bacterial infection. I don’t know if he has what and I want to treat it now since I think he just got it. I really don’t want him to die since I spend a lot of money on him.

Hello, I have 2 lace catfish(synodontis eupterus 2+yrs), they seem to be sensitive to bad water, I do 50% water changes 2xwkly. This keeps water clean + adds trace elements that fish need to survive. Is your tank cycled? Do you have a liquid test kit(most important tool in hobby)?
When these cats get stressed they will actually fade to almost a white or become blotchy(major move 5 gal buckets). They also have a low tolerance to aquarium salt. I added a little & it made them crazy. Had to do sm water changes till they stopped scatching. Hope this helps!!!!! Click image for larger version

Hello. I can’t manage to see the images. I was especially curious since one of my cories suddenly has a heavy looking white ball just behind his first dorsal fin.

Hello Cho...

This is nothing that can't be resolved by gradually increasing your water change routine. Water changes for tanks 20 gallons or less should be done more often than larger tanks. Gradually work up to the point you remove and replace half the water a couple of times a week. Tanks larger than 20 gallons need half the water changed every 7 to 10 days. I would add a teaspoon of standard aquarium salt to every five gallons of replacement water and do a good job of vacuuming the bottom material. By simply improving water conditions, you can avoid most if not all tank problems.
