Only one of the fish in my tank appears to be sick. He has velvet visible on him and yesterday I treated the tank with coppersafe ick & velvet medication. Today I noticed that it has a hole in the side of his body near his gill. Before treatment he was very sluggish, not eating, hiding by the heater. He seems to be more active today and I actually saw him eat for the first time in a while. I have been adding aquarium salt to the tank as well to prevent further infections.

Any Advice?
This is really bumming me out :(
I dont want to lose him. The rest of my fish appear to be healthy.

I have a 36gal with 12 cichlids, 4 clown loaches, & a pleco. Two aqua clear 55 filters that i have removed the carbon from for the treatment of velvet. Could the velvet be the cause of this hole?
