Some of my tetras have a cloudy white spot in one or both of their eyes. What is the cause and treatment? My aquarium is 37 gallons and under stocked. It's been established for 9 months. I do 50% water changes weekly and it's a planted tank.

What's the water params?
Any new additions?
How old is the tank?

5 columbian tetras, 3 black skirt tetras, 5 red eye tetras and one Chinese algae eater that I am trying to get rid of because he's getting too aggressive and harming my plants. Bad decision to get him. The tank is 2 yrs old and no new additions.water parameters:

Established
Nitrate: 5-10 ppm
Ph: 7.2

Ammonia, nitrite? Your tank can not support any of the fish you listed?

Ammonia and nitrite are 0. What do you mean when you say my tank cannot support any of my fish?

My water quality is good, so what else could be causing it? The fish that do have it act totally normal.

Your tank is WAYY to small for any of those fish. You need at least a 20 long

Does that mean a 36 gallon is not typically 20 long? How many gallons at a minimum would a 20 long be? I'm just curious. I'm sorry I don't have info for you OP.

A mean a 20 gallon Long. It's 30 inches long

There's multiple different 20 gallon dimensions the most common being the 20 long (30/12/12) the 20 h (24/12/16) and the 20 extra high (20/10/25 no sure on this measurement)

Well my tank is 30 inches long it's plenty of space. 30w x 22h x 12.5 l
