Constipated or pregnant?

So like an idiot, I posted in the breeding forum thinking my angelfish might be pregnant.. but now im wondering if she is constipated.

try feedign some peas and see if that helps anything out. Seems to me like its most likely constipated because i didn't think angelfish got fat with eggs like that ... although i could be wrong.

I think it is a case of wait and see. Observing behaviour like picking cleaning leaves as a possible spawning site or shimming next to a potential mate are signs of breeding. If your fish had a particularly large clutch of eggs then it might show.

I'd say try the peas. If she's constipated it should help. If she's holding eggs, it's not gonna hurt.

Not sure if it's the angle of the pics in the other post, but the roundness seems to be lopsided?
