I have a knight goby that has been doing great for the last 5 months. A couple days ago, when while feeding, I noticed a white lump on it's head. It shares a tank with 4 other cichlids (I know now that it's breaking the rules). Anyway, I lost a knife fish due to a diagnosis of fungal infection. I still have fungal treatment, which I used to as an attempt to save the goby.
After the first 3 days the lump started to shrink, then a mucus formed over it's head and it started scratching on rocks and scratching it's belly on the glass. Now two of my cichlids are scratching and the big convict swims up and down the wall of the tank really fast.
The lump was not cotton looking or fuzzy. It almost resembled a pimple. It looked firm but looked as though it would pop if you squeezed it. If anyone has any idea what this could be, please share. I don't want to lose another fish to a "disease"!

Not the best pictures, but it's the best I can get.
