Hi all,
I had a single african dwarf frog with two freshwater clams in a small gallon aquarium.
It was only temporary, as I have a 10 gallon tank under the nitrogen cycle.
Unfortunately, my ADF developed a white fuzzy rash on it's lower back and died. Before it died, I was able to move it outside of the 1 gallon tank, isolating it from the 2 freshwater clams.
My question is could my clams be contaminated or sick? I would like to put them in my 10 gallon tank when it finishes, but is it possible that the frog may have shed some skin or passed some bacteria into the clam's filters?
They appear fine, but there isn't much to notice about the clams. They are opening and closing, feeding as normal. I wouldn't want to put them into a 10 gallon tank with any other fish if they are potentially dangerous to the health of my tank
