I have an emerald cory with pop eye effecting both eyes, and a red line behind one eye also has issues staying on bottom now and then... anyone know how 2 treat him?? Is in a 55g tank with 8 small angels, 2 other cory cats, tetras, danios, kuhli's and a large male BNP. 0 ammo, 0 trites, <20 trates... 50-75% wc once a week. All are fed flakes. One angel from tank is in qt for an infected wound, which im posting another thread about... any help is appreciated.

He has a more than one issue here. Do you have another qt tank? I know your angel is already quarantined.

I sent my sick angel girl 2 the big river in the sky. Hope she meets Lucien up there. Im putting him in the 2.5 and cleaning out the 10g so the infection dies. Taking alcohol 2 it then gonna let it sit @ least week...

Try treating him with erythromycin (commonly sold as Maracyn). You can add a tiny amount of epsom salt, too. Dissolve @1/4 tsp in 1/2 cup of water, then only add quarter of this solution to his tank (or 1/16tsp). When he is moved to he 10g, 1/4tsp per 10g. Keep a close eye on the red sore as well. Good luck!

the red was more a bruise i think and is gone..., and the 10g has 1/2 tsp per gallon right now and he is showing NO signs of stress...

and i have Furan 2 also... not in use currently tho... want 2 let him try 2 fight it and use that as a last resort.... but no more bouyancy issues currently, and eyes look 2 be less poped out 2day...

1/2tsp per gallon of epsom salt? Thats an awful lot. Large amounts of epsom salt for anything other than a short term bath can be toxic as well as cause anemia and internal bleeding. I would suggest reducing the amount with water changes.

no... API Aquarium salts... not epsom... and 1 eye looks a bit less popped out 2day. hoping he is getting better... he is in the 2.5 now...

and red spot isnt gone, just less noticable... and has a white dot in the center... hopefully NOT anchor worms...

New pics from 2day...

i, as well as others, think it is anchor worms... have meds ordered as they werent avail near me... for now just salt til the meds arrive!

Not anchor after all. It was an abscess, which has popped, and i think it may be the same as what took my angel... pics from 2day... also i tried 2 up the salt dose and he got swim bladder issues. Poor thing. Did a fresh pwc and gonna get all salt out and start meds once the swim issue is better.
