I recently bought 3 bloodfins and I did not notice one had a bent spine until I got home. I was worried it may have a disease of some type. It swims with its body and its fins, not just its fins, and appears to have a tough time. Is this just a deformity, or is he sick?

If it is not disease related, it should be fine. I have a whole tank that I refer to as the handicapped tank. Fish with curved spines, midgets, fish that are upside down (due to deformities) and some missing body parts (again birth defects). Some of mine are going on 5 years old.

On a sad note, aquarium fish are over breed, hence you get a high degree of mutations...one of them being a curved spine and midgets.

Yeah, I think my lil guy is just slightly deformed. I'll still post a pic though.
