29 gallon planted tank

temp 77

Amonia 0 ppm

PH 7.2 ppm

Nitrite 0 ppm

Nitrate between 20-40 ppm

He swims up to the top when he sees food but just sinks like he has a rock in his stomach.

Over the last 3 weeks he's gone from taking quick nose dives to the bottom every now and then to just laying on his side.

How is his pooping?

Try feeding cooked peas - inside of each round pea. Fast him no food just a few peas.

You can use frozen or fresh & cook, or try and find no salt added canned peas if not then regular. You can also add a squeeze of clove of garlic (use a garlic press is easy) juice if he doesn't eat it after a couple trys.

The peas help ease constipation.

If that doesn't seem to work I would try Epsom salts in the water.

I just posted about using the Epsom Salts here/below - post #7 with extra details.

Do I need to remove him from tank to do this?
