Dwarf puffer has snail stuck to nose!

I fed my puffer last night and he seemed fine. Today when I was doing a water change I noticed what I at first thought was a growth on his nose-on further analysis, I'm pretty sure it's a snail stuck right on his nose! I tried netting him and removing it with tweezers, but I don't trust myself to do that without accidentally poking his eye. Anybody got any ideas of what to do?

Construct a statue of the bravest snail ever and put in your tank as a memorial...
He wont last long... puffers are smart little guys.

Well, the snail did disappear a few weeks ago and the puffer was fine, until Tuesday, I found him dead I wonder if there was some underlying condition related to the snail being stuck there.
