fin rot/melafix...how long?

I've been treating my neon tetras for fin rot for the past 7 days with melafix, do I keep putting it in the tank until they're fins grow back completley or until they're noticeable healthy again?

I would personally skip the Melafix and just keep performing 25-30% daily water changes. Clean water will benefit the fish growth/recovery far better than that stuff, it's worthless and a waste of money in my opinion.
