I had 2 sticks of biohome in my betta's filter. His fin rot is definitely back. I removed the filter and will clean it completely for when treatment ( furan 2) is over. I put the 2 sticks of biohome in a cup with a drop of ammonia.

Should I throw out the biohome b/c when he's well it might infect him again or should I try to keep the bb on the biohome alive and reuse it?

Up to you. Furan 2 will not likely wipe out your beneficial bacteria, though it is likely to lower the number. If you are concerned about bacteria causing the fin rot staying alive on your filter media, I would just keep it there while running the Furan 2. Unless I am mistaken, it looks like biohome is not activated carbon, but is just a stick for bacteria for grow on and in. It doesn't really matter if the Furan 2 disrupts the biofilter if you were just going to replace it anyways. JMO. I suspect either option is fine.
