a couple weeks ago i noticed this angel had been nipped. this is what it looks like now. is this healing or rotting? tank is stable with 0 nh3, 0 no2, 5 no3. i have melafix on hand if needed. tia

Does it look better, worse or the same as a couple of weeks ago? If it looks the same or better, I'd just keep the water pristine and keep an eye on it. If it looks worse I'd add the melafix.

i'd say the same or maybe a little better. what concerns me, and i now notice the pic doesn't show this very well, is the sort of "skin" growing in between the pieces of fin. it's an opaque whiteish color. any ideas? i think it's just some sort of membrane growing back, buy i'm not sure.

that happen to my peacock i used fungus cure by ap and it cleared up although it makes your water very green

I'd just watch. Likely healing, IMHO.
