Hello: I have a glofish tetra. the black spot on bottom of dorsal fin has been there since I got him 4 months ago. Seems to be getting slightly bigger..and a few spots showing up below on body. Seems to be generally ok...maybe a bit more reclusive. Hope picture helps. Tank info:
16G wide screen
Tank new in Dec 2014
Aqueon 30g filter/200 gph
Use purigen bag added to filter media
Added diy type co2
Planted tank
4 glo tetras
4 glo danios
5 scissor tails
5 neon tetras
5 ghost shrimp.
Yes, probably a few too many fish..which is why a run a bigger filter.
I do 30-40% changes every 2 weeks.
ApI test kit as of today:
AmmoNia : 0 ppm
(Thought this may have been ammonia burns but reading ok?)
Nitrite: 0 ppm
Nitrate: 10-20 ppm
Not sure if this is something I should worry about...or try to treat?? Or is this a known issue with glofish??
Thankss in advance!!
