I bought a blue ram and a gold ram from a pet store a few days ago and just noticed my gold ram (who is a lot more mature then the blue) is missing the two front bottom fins that my blue ram has..
There is a small amount of fin there though and there is a slight sign that the tail fins have been nipped before (although it looks all healed).
It is eating and swimming around but is a lot less active then the blue ram and does hide a lot..
Will it be okay/survive if the fins have just been nipped off? Or could it be sick? It still has the large bottom fin near it's tail..
Also I could only find info on sexing a blue ram - does anyone know how to sex a gold ram?
Ps. It's in a 50L tank with a couple of balloon mollies, guppies, platies, neon tetras and Corydoras - and I don't believe any of my fish have been the ones to nip at it (I don't think it had the fins when I got it)
Thanks
