My fire dwarf gourami has a long trail of poop hanging off of him and it wont break off.
Is this normal or should I be worried about him?

Is it white, stringy or 'bubbly'?
He could have been constipated but it can be a sign of internal parasites. Keep an eye on him and if it keeps happening we will look into options.

it is stringy and has some thicker parts that are white. he seems to be acting fine, his normal self. i have been planting my tank over the last week and converting from plastic plants to live. could he have gotten a parasite from one of them?

oh, and it's happening now a third time i think. the poop trail gets super long before it finally gets caught up on a plant and breaks free. i first noticed it this morning. yep, this is his third poop string. poor guy, i bet its annoying. :-/
