Hi all, I have a Orange Dalmation Betta Splenden who has a growth (3days). It seemed to sprout overnight. He is in a 2 gal/heated tank, 5-6 day 100% water changes w/1/4 tsp aq salt, 2 pellets Hikari morning and evening, he is eating well, active, and pooing. Can't find what it might be or if I can treat it. Help!

That's crazy, it almost looks like a tumor or a bone protuding under his skin. :( For those I don't know any cure.
You should not use salt for more than 10 days with bettas, as it causes kidney failure.
Never change 100% of the water, you kill some of the good bacteria.

UPDATE: I do believe this is lymphocystis (a virus). The fish has been active, eating, and pooing normally now after 3 weeks since discovering the growth. It appears that it will subside eventually on its own and could take months and that it is generally nonfatal.

I agree with what you said. It does appear to be some type of a localized infection and lymphocystis sounds like a likely candidate.
