Growth on tail of my fish

Hello every one,
I been in the hobby over 10 years i now have this tank running for over 2 years , same stock nothing changed. 0,0,5 nitrate right now. I have 2 Oscars 2 feather tail catfish ,Nicaragua cichlids, a fire mouth , and my salvini. Everything was fine I change 50% every Friday like clock work . I notice these white growths on my salvini’s tail. He’s still feisty as ever , does anyone have any idea? I was thinking netting and using iodine on a cotton swab and wiping his tail??

Could be the start of Lymphocystis. A viral infection so not much you can do. Sometimes it goes away on its own. You can definitely try to disinfect it.

That’s exactly what I thought. He’s still a terror and no one shows signs. Leaving work shortly and I’ll catch him lay him on a wet rag and use some iodine on a cotton ball and wipe his fins .. give him the best water conditions and hope it don’t spread lol. Thanks
