Guppy Looking Sick

Hello all,


I have a guppy who's a little rough around the edges. He had Ick, but recovered. Now he has developed these black spots on his tail fin and spine near his tail. I put him in a hospital tank to be sure he didn't make the rest of the tank sick and tried to treat him with aquarium salt. He has been in the hospital tank for about 3 weeks and hasn't shown any progression for the better or worse.



My question is, is he healthy enough to return to the aquarium?

How often are you changing his water. He should have clean water pretty much every day. Gradually building up to about 1 tsp salt per gallon and I would recommend trying Epsom Salt/ES (not really salt but magnesium sulfate), plain no essential oils or other additives. For the ES I would as the salt build up to 1 tablespoon per gallon as well.

Fresh clean water each day.

The fish does not look well enough to me and imho, would not add him back with the rest.
