guppy swimming vertically

I just got a female guppy today, and ever since I got her she has been swimming vertically head up tail down, I've tried to google it but get so many different answers back that I don't even know where to begin. She was doing that in the tank when I got her, I just thought it was because she was so big (she's about 2 in.) Any thoughts?
