I have a 5-6 month old male platy in my tank with 1 Cory cat, 4 neons, and 3 other platies. I noticed a red spot on the young Platys head. Could it be bleeding? I need all the help I can get. Thanks.

Oh that looks ouchy!

Please post size of tank and water parameters. Is anything else unusual in your tank? Do you have any dangerous ornaments? Also, your cory would appreciate 3 more buddies of the same species- if space allows. Same goes for the tetras.

It's 10 gallons. I'm upgrading to a 26 gallon in a few days. Xmas present. :) I only have a stone and a fake barrel thing I bought from petsmart. Nothing dangerous. Water parameters are all great. No bad things.. I don't know what could cause it?

Is it like an open sore? You might want to remove the platy and quarantine it somewhere. Another tank would be best, but a large plastic container with a seeded sponge filter can work in a pinch. That way you can study the fish better and treat it if needed.
