I've been treating my platy tank for ich since the 9th when I purchased an adjustable heater. Had noticed the ich two days before. I started to treat with salt and heat. Yesterday I noticed another spot so am continuing the treatment. However today I noticed my heart has what seems to be algae (pics provided) on the rubber bottom part but nowhere else in the tank. Any suggestions on how to handle this as I'm treating for ich with salt and heat. Can I just remove the heater tomorrow when I do a wc and scrub it in the old water with a brush and put it back in or can I rinse in the sink with hot water as my water heater puts water out at 150°+ F (have to have it turned up all the way to have a hot bath) any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.
