Looks like he's been sleeping around.. you sure you're doing that nitrate test correctly? You should have some nitrates..

Are you shaking the nitrate bottle like it gave your gourami a disease?? It's notoriously difficult sometimes.

How wood it if given him a disease I never poured it back in the tank I poured to in the bath
Help. Can someone explain what's happening xx

You need to really shake the nitrate test, read the directions again. It looks like an ammonia burn in all honesty..

For the nitrates shake bottle #2 for at least 30 seconds, add the drops to the test tube, and shake the tube for at least 60 seconds. Wait 5 minutes for results. Also add the drops of bottls #1, invert several times, and the add the bottle #2

Do some water changes and perform a salt dip on the little fella.

I have been doing water changes but what do you mean about the salt drops on him he is still in the main tankx

Net him out and use some tank water with 1:4 parts aquarium salt. Dip him for a few minutes or until he starts freaking out basically.. should nuke the infection.. if anyone has a better ideas speak now or forever hold your peace.

And all I have is this salt is this the right one
