HELP Velvet

Are you sure it's velvet? Shine a flashlight on the fish and see if the specks shine back. Velvet is tougher then ich, but you can still get rid of it. Treat with heat (84 degrees) and aquarium salt, as you would with ich, but cover the tank as well. Leave a small opening somewhere for just a dash of light. You'll need to do this for two weeks. If that doesn't work, try Acriflavine. There's also another medication that's good for this but I can't think of the name at the moment. If this is a serious case of velvet, nothing may work.
