My 3 year old daughter thought she'd help me out by cleaning the one gallon beta tank by herself, without my permission or supervision! She tried catching the beta with her hand, managed to grab it and squeeze it! I am unsure how hard. He is still alive but is breathing heavily and laying at the bottom of his aquarium. He's only made a couple of swims to the surface. Is there anything I can do to help him survive?

Thank you, I'm doing just that! He made it through the night last night, I will be keeping a close eye on him today! He's survived Ich, Fin Rot and some kind of parasite since we got him about 4 or 5 months ago. I've learned a lot from him and I feel terribly guilty that he has had to suffer as much as he has.
