So I've had a few fish get stringy white poo (hairlike thin). They also seem lethargic and hang out by the heater or in the corner. I treated with API General Cure and while two have gotten better, 3 of them look worse than before.

Should I treat again with the General Cure? Will raising the temperature help? I already added some aquarium salt. Is HEXAMITIASIS very hard to diagnose? Other than stringy white poo, I see no physical signs of sickness.

Thanks.

Hi there. I am afraid I won't be much help, but did your fish ever get better? Mine are going through the same thing right now and one fish randomly died last week! I was thinking about doing some aquarium salt in the water (as a laxative) and trying to feed them medicated anti parasite food tomorrow after a 24+ hour fast.....
