Ick or fin rot?

I have a community tank. The only one that looks like this is my male sword tail mickey mouse!

Fin rot is not a symptom of ich. Ich looks like the fish has been sprinkled with salt. I agree, a better photo would be beneficial for us to help you.

Still alive! Has not spread to any other fish! Mickey mouse still looks the same tho...

Is it just on the tip of the tail or all on the body too?

Just on his fin.

I would say fin rot. I think that ich would be spreading to others and across the body with in a day or two. Did you test the water? Do a pwc? Sometimes that helps a lot. He could have been nipped and rot grew on the damaged part. Have you put anything in the tank to treat it?

Yes I treated the tank tested my water and did a pwc. All is great with those.

How long has his tail been like that? What did the water test at? What did you treat with and how long was the treatment for?

The water levels were at:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10
Ph: 7.6
I tested it earlier for her.

His tail is going on day three and we added melafix day 2.

Good news! Today he is all better! All the yucky stuff is gone!

Congrats. IMO, you should keep with the treatment for the whole time even if he is better. If I remember correctly Melafix is every day for 7 days, then do a pwc and put the carbon back in the filter.

So glad he is doing better.
