Ick Treatment Solution

There is a suggestion to cover your aquarium for 36-48 hrs here. Simply to not let any light into the tank for that period of time and the Ick will die off.


What do you guys think of that? Would the fish starve to death? I guess the plants would take the biggest hit but 36-48 hours might even kill them I would think.

The only problem I see with that is I have grandbabies, and if they can't see the fish, well lets just say it wouldn't be a pretty sight
