Injured angel??

I have an angel currently in qt, and has gone through a 4 day round of furan 2 for an open red sore on her anal fin that had eroded through 2 the other side... during the treatment it stayed pretty much the same, now the other side is growing anx i can see bones in the resulting hole... also there is a small spot that looks like the start of another sore on the side with the original injury... she has salt in her water atm, and its a 10g with filter and heater, 50% wc every few days... any help is greatly appreciated. Original injury was about 2 weeks ago...

Do you have access to better antibiotics? She has a rather nasty wound there and if its eroding through her fin, its ulcerating. My suggestion would be to treat her with kanamycin and lots of healthy water. Some salt is fine. If you are able to handle her, I would apply a topical such as BioBandage daily as well. If you can not handle her, no big deal.

I have decided due 2 the fact that there appears 2 be worms in and around the wound and she has been through so much already, 2 put her down... im preparing the ice bath now. I will inspect the wound further before she goes in, and if there are no worms and it has ANY signs of getting better i may give her a few more days 2 fight.

What kind of worms? Are you sure its worms not white hairs/threads from a secondary fungal infection?

The infection had eaten through bone and was getting worse, so i euthanized her... it wasnt worms, but she had suffered long enough. Gonna clean out the 10g and put the cory in the 2.5 til his pop eye is healed...

Post mortem pics of the wound. Idk what it was, but furan 2 didnt touch it, and it moved fast once it got going.

The poor thing. It looks like the skin was liquified. :-( I've only ever seen acid do that to skin. That or a flesh eating disease.
