Whenever I gravel vacuum or scrub algae, my dwarf gourami always comes up and pecks at my fingers. Is this safe for him? I always rinse my hands thoroughly before putting them in the tank, but I still worry any leftover oils on my skin could be harmful. I think it's kinda cute, but if it's dangerous I'll try to stop it. Any advice? Thanks.

Some fish just bite lol as long as your hands are clean i don't see there being a problem he's not pecking at anything u aren't already putting in the tank....try having a hungry Oscar lol

Lol, my fish do that as well, feels funny having half a dozen fish taking a nibble. I wash my hands thoroughly and give them a really good rinse. Don't worry they will be fine.
