Hey guys,
This is my first post, so bear with me... I'm going to try to answer all of the preliminary questions:
The tank is a 29 gallon I've had set up for 8 months now. It has 6 neon tetras, 6 black neons, 2 guppies, 2 platies, and 2 neon blue DG's. I do 25% water changes every week, my PH is 7.6, my nitrite is 0, my ammonia is .4, and the temp is always 78*. The fish have been in there for around 6 months (took them from a 55 gallon), but 2 weeks ago I got the urge to have 2 DG's so I bought another one at aquatek.
He has been perfect so far, but 2 days ago I noticed he was covered in small black dots, became lethargic, and stopped eating. Today when I woke up, I noticed he has dark, discolored spots that look like dead or rotting flesh. After doing a lot of reading, I'm convinced he has Iridovirus. What do you guys think? Here are some pictures:
You can see the tiny black spots all over his body and some of the discoloration on his head and near his dorsal:
Here you can see the black ashy, soot-like coloring near his pectorals:
