It all started with cloudy water.

And then my one of my fish got some sores on his back and my Panda butterfly's fin got stringy. After 3 different antibiotics and four dead fish i finally got someone to do a water culture and found alot of gram neg rods and i'll have the organisms that are the culprits back tomorrow. Does anyone do water cultures? The hosp did mine on the sly. I have a long way to go before my fish tank is O.K. again.

lorrie you might want to start a new thread rather than hijack this one.

Start a new thread and please include details of:

Test results - Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate - both tap water and tank water.
Tank size
Age of tank
All flora and fauna in it
kind of substrate - gravel, sand, etc.

that will help you get the help you need.

What do the sores look like? Can you describe them? Better yet, can you take a picture?
