Missing tail fin

My red line torpedo has lost his tail fin.. is this something that will grow back? I have no idea why it has gone. My other one has damage to his tail fin but very minor damage

As long as the damage isn't into the base of fin it should grow back. Could be fighting or would also check tank water chemistry eg nitrates.

Nice thanks for the reply. I check the water all the time and even get my local experts to do it. It's always very good. Must be fighting then. Do you know how long roughly it takes to grow back?

Could be a few days to several weeks depending on damage. Just clean tank water (as it sounds you have) should do it. Any red streaks or white patches could be bacterial/fungal infections so would just keep an eye out for those.
