IMG_1282.jpg this is my molly his name is Donald trump he was fine earlier today actually just three hours ago I've had him for about 3-4 days there are two other mollies 6 mystery snails and two pictus in my 55 gallon tank with him. he is breathing fine and if I nudge him with the net he swims normally then goes and lays back down. is he just napping or is somthing seriously wrong? I'm going to do a water change in the morning. but any input would help.

Sailfin mollies are short lived only living about a year after maturity.

When you buy a large male you never know how old it is.

The longest I have been able to keep them in pure fresh water is 6 month.

The females seek out brackish water to birth.

The sailfin molly is a native sp.

I always keep this fish in a brackish water tank.

Oh :( I didn't know that. I researched a ton for my mollies and I never even thought to look up life span I was looking at quality of life. he seemed very happy the few days I had him. I got him from an overstocked 5 gallon at my local shop :/ at least I gave him a few happy days.
