I'm not sure why this has happened but my good gourami's eyes have started to blacken.
I know that he was exposed to a mini cycle which caused cloud eye on him and a few mollies. The mollies didn't make it but he has survived while I've been improving water quality. Ive got my ammonia and nitrites down to zero and nitrates are at 10-20.
Since then the gourami has seemed to develop pop eye so I began melafix treatment in hopes of clearing this up. While the swelling has gone down I've noticed that he's now showing black rings inside/on his eye. The treatment has been going for 4 days with no improvement and it's rather depressing because I can tell he's having trouble seeing. Anyone have an idea as to what this could be?
