My tetra is been acting weird lately. He usually hangs out with his buddy and swims around the tank all the time, but he has been staying in one spot. He has been hanging around the heater, too. But now he just started turning a grayish color, and that does not seem right compared to his usually radiant orange. Is ther anything wrong with him?

What size tank?

What are your readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH?

Is the tank cycled?

What do you have in this tank? Species and number of each, please.

What size tank? How long has it been running?

Tetras need to be kept in schools of 6-8 minimum. Your guy is probably super stressed from not having buddies.

You should get your own test kit because anytime you have an issue, we'll ask for your readings. Did the lfs give you your actual numbers or just send you on your merry way.....
