Neon Tetra Issues (NTD)

I'm pretty sure I've been fighting a loosing battle with these guys. Luckily I've gotten most of my money back, but I'm looking for experienced information on this one.

I have a few neons with various symptoms. The oddest one is a bubble on the side of the mouth (pictured). The others just have fin rot that doesn't seem to improve, and another had a white crusty growth (similar to the bubble) on the lips.

I have moved them to a hospital tank to try to heal them, but the more I read, there is no cure. I'm treating a 20g planted tank with ParaGuard with 2 capfuls each day.

How did you go? That description sounds more like bacterial infection to me i.e. cottonmouth.

So far there's no change. Perhaps a little thinner on the bubble. I've been treating two capfuls in the 20 gallon tank for 4 days so far. He's not eating that I can tell. His mouth is exposed so he could get something in, but he doesn't seem interested when food passes near him.

Since not eating - you could try furan 2 as well. Iíve had little luck with it and neons / any small fish.
