I just noticed one of my neons getting some black throughout it's body and fins. There is a thicker black line below the part where he is red, more then usual. Is this normal? It's only a little bit but enough to be noticed.

I feel like there is a really obvious and compels normal answer to this but I can't be too sure.

Might be just normal although I never had any like that. Has it developed quickly or gradually?

Also I'd check ammonia / ph (in case ammonia burns) and if he is still eating and schooling (in case bacterial).

It was very abrupt but went away a couple hours after noticing it :) haven't seen it sense!
