I just got some new rams about .75 inches long. My problem is that they are breathing kind of fast, almost laboured like they have no O2. They tank is good, all parameters are OK. I'm just not sure if this is normal or if it is a gill parasite or infection. I treated the tank with an anti parasite med and no change. They seem to be eating and acting fine.

rams often get a respatory disease which will kill them, this is why its very important to use a q tank once you have some established rams

I wish I'd done some research before buying. That seems to be the problem. They were new arrivals to the store and I just had to have them. I lost one already, hopefully the others will survive.

Thanks bussardnr
