Hmm.......the spots seem a bit large for ich huh.
IDK........it's been forever that I've had to deal with ich. :(

Tough to tell for sure from those pics. Everytime I've had ich in my tanks (which is right now as a matter of fact) the spots have always started on the tail fin. Not sure if that's always the way it is, though. Are those spots on his tailfin as well?

It does look a lot like ich. I would turn the temps up as a precaution. Add an airstone or lower the water level. I've had ich start elsewhere than on the tail fins.

I just QT'd him and took a few more closeups.
If it's ich I'd say it's in addition to something else after seeing these.
I'm thinkin either flukes or anchor worms.
I'm currently treating him with jungle labs parasite clear.

Notice the clump on the gill in this shot:

And just above and behind the eye in the next two shots:

I've got shrimp in this tank so as far as I know I have to treat in QT.
Anyone know of an invert safe treatment?

Brian

In those pics it doesn't look much like ich. Parasites are likely. Sorry I know of now invert safe treatments. I think you are the proper course with QT and meds.

Welp.......he didn't make it and it definately wasn't ich.
I just hope it doesn't spread to the other fish.
