oscar help

75 gal 2 oscars (3.5") 1 sailfin pleco (8'')

1 oscar seems to have some sort of white fungus growing on his side fins. It's not spotty like ich but I may be wrong. I just caught it today did a good water change and added some salt. I think I may need to treat... what do you guys think melafix or kick ich or something else.

I doubt it is ich if it appears to be "growing"... ich just looks like white spots, almost like sugar or salt on them. Its probably fungal, which would warrant something along the lines of jungle buddies fungus tabs or something to that extent. Google fungal infections on fish and look at the pictures it brings up... It looked to me like what you were describing, but i could be wrong...

I didnt think you should put in salt with plecos. They dont have scales to protect them from the salt that will irritate their skin.
