Parents sick parrot cichlids

It is ok it eats and is active just very swollen and swims upside down with stomach not even in the water what can be done to fix this if anything? It has survived like this for several months maybe even a yr but has just gotten a lot worse in past month

That's what I told my mom but dad thinks there's hope because it acts like it's not bothered still eats and everything just fine

I believe Its a swim bladder issue. It will survive but get no better. The only way ive seen this fixed is with syringe... And you have to use the syringe to remove the air from swim bladder every time it occurs. And it will keep occuring. Tell your dad this... Would you like that quality of life. Well it doesnt either.
