Hello world, I woke up to my pleco floating vertically near the bottom of his tank, dead, covered in white fluff. I have no idea what happened. I recently took an overnight trip and the water levels were the same as they always are, they had just gotten a 35% water change, and he was eating fine. Yesterday was my first full day in town again and he seemed fine, eating etc. Any ideas on what happened?? Will update from water test results taken 4 days ago

Too many unknown variables.
Possibilities:
Ammonia spike / PH crash / Aggressive tankmates/ Lack of driftwood in diet / Yet undiagnosed disease.
We all experience that unexplained homicide every once in a while. In my case it's always the best looking most expensive ones. Lol.
