every night about 10-20 minutes before the lights on my tank go out my honey gourami jumps or swims in to the side of the tank and then swims in circles asif stunned....

why does he do this the parameters are all good i havnt made any changes apart from adding stress coat to try chill it out

any ideas will be much apreciated i currently have him in my net hangin in the water for safety he isnt dark or injured but im worried he will do some harm to himself

Hi fish are more sensitive to changes in light than we are,so when you turn your lights off make sure the room light is on. Do you have more than one light on your tank? If so you could stagger them going off? Or use a smaller light to lessen the shock of the main light going off.

i have a daylight and a moonlight in there but just sat here now its just happened again so its not down to lighting changes i have got some red leds would they be OK to leave on all the time do you think so that there's no alteration in lighting apart from colours i did have them in there before but removed them to another tank which i now have a new set of leds for

realy worried about him hes going to do himself some damage moveing to a new property so i can set up a tank for him alone with less water in make it harder to jump but until then he has to stay with the comunity

i realy doubt its down to lighting

please someone help hes done it about 10 times today ive just had to put my hand under him and pull him to the top before he would swim again hes the girlfreinds favourite aswell its asif he has some sort of epilepsi when it happens he goes crazy spinning arround the tank flopping all over then curls up at the bottom
