Quick question. Hatchetfish

I have a 29 gallon freshwater tank currently stocked with:

7 neon tetra
6 platies (all male)
1 albino pleco
1 pearl gourami (female)
And one mystery snail

My question is could I get marble hatchetfish. Do they work with that stock. And how many should I get? Does sex matter?

You could do 6 but only if you have a tank lid! They jump especially when other fish nudge around them so they have to have a cover. They do better still if you can provide them with alittle floating plant cover. It makes them feel more secure.
